Photography training 

The visual impact of this experience will leave you awestruck. In all probability, you will never get to see or experience anything to match the immense beauty and grandeur of the landscape. A fleeting moments in this environment like a whale surfacing in the fjord is something not to be missed and no time to be figuring out your camera setting.... in order to ensure the participants don't miss out on any photo opportunities, they will receive extensive photography training on a one-to-one basis prior to the trip.  The aim is to get each participant an impressive portfolio of images to rival professional photographer.

Each of the 5 participants will receive personalised one-to-one photography training on a virtual basis. This will comprise of approximately 12 hours of training split into 4 weeks made up of theory, practical work and critique sessions.

Training starts once all fees have been paid in full and needs to be completed a month prior to leaving.

Advanced Photography Topics to be covered:

  • Making use of all manual functions to control light

  •  Landscape composition

  • Bracketing

  • Using filters

  • Preparing yourself to use a professional underwater camera - Underwater photography

  • Setting up for the Northern Lights

  • Push your creativity to the limits with night photography and remote portable lights

What's included in the price of the expedition?

  • One to one photography tuition

  • Underwater photography

  • Accommodation at Ice Camp Greenland, an eco lodge located on the edge of the remote Sermilik Fjord

  • Meals

  • Transport to and from Kulusuk

  • Hire of professional underwater camera

  • Daily excursions to photo locations

  • Use of professional camera and lenses

What's not included:

  • Flights to Kusuluk 

  • Drysuit hire ( this can be arranged in advance )

Daily Itinerary 

07h00 - 9h00: Private tuition (only one participant per morning)

9h00: Breakfast 

10h00: Daily excursions

16h00: return to camp

16h30 - 18h00: one to one critique

18h00: Supper

19h00: Night photography and Northern Lights
