Structure

We start with an initial meeting to get to know you and outline the programme and itinerary in full. Over the following 4 weeks, photography tuition and practice takes place with 4 x 1 hour sessions scheduled. Additional tuition can be arranged as required. We then set off to our off-grid location for a fully guided, 5-day photography adventure.

Iceland Itinerary 2018

5 Day  Private Photography Workshop

 

Day 1 

 

  • Depart from Gatwick: Wow Air Flight W811 (11h35) WW814

  • Arrive at Reykjavik (KEF): (14h00)

  • Pickup rental 4x4 )

  • Transfer to Silica Hotel ( Blue Lagoon )

  • Evening: free time

  • Northern Lights if possible

Day 2

​

  • Morning at leisure at Blue Lagoon

  • Drive to Skogar (2 hour drive), leaving late morning,

  • Stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall

  • Check in at Hotel Skoga

  • Early dinner

  • Review Images of the day

  • Sunset at Sólheimar glacier

  • Photograph Northern Lights if possible

Day 3

 

  • Visit Skogafoss waterfall

  • Drive to Vik area, drive up to highlands

  • Visit Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach ( Road 215 )

  • Lunch at Black Beach

  • Visit Kirkjufjara beach (Road 218 )

  • Visit Dyrhólaey ( Road 218 ) for sunset

  • Stay at Hotel Vik Edda

  • Review Images of the day

  • Photograph Northern Lights if possible

Day 4

 

  • After early breakfast, we take a scenic drive down to the Vatnajökull glacier. The morning light against the mountains, make for some spectacular photography.

  • We arrive at Local guide Ice cave tours for 10h00 

  • We then drive to Jökulsárlón - Glacier lagoon for a tour at 15h00

  • Visit the Diamond Beach for sunset.

  • Check-in to Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon

  • Review Images of the day

  • Photograph Northern Lights over Glacier Lagoon if possible

Day 5

 

  • Leave by 7h00 to drive back to Keflavik International Airport (418 km, approximately 5 hours)

  • Fly back Gatwick flight: WW814 ( 15h30 ) lands at 20h10

 

Includes :

  • 1 month of one to one photography training and preparation

  • Use of professional photography equipment

  • Transport within Iceland, accommodation, meals and adventure excursions

 

Excludes:

  • Personal insurance

  • Flights to and from Iceland ( approximately £400)
